I finally got a job!

Well, it's official. I start at Hitachi Chemical Diagnostics, Inc. on Monday. I'm so psyched. It's been so long since I've had a real job. To some people, this job might sound boring but I'm so excited! I will be a member of their R & D team working on developing new multiple allergy tests. Fun, Fun, Fun! I think I'm so ecstatic because I'll be working in the field of Immunology (which I love). I like it so much because it was the coolest class in college but also one of the hardest. And it just so happened that a good friend (at the time) taught the class so that helped a lot. Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting back to the Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 kind of thing again instead of sitting on my ass all day, everyday, doing nothing with my life. Yay Beth!

- quote of the day -

"We are numb now.
We are killing. We are killing in large numbers. And we are numb to what we are doing.
That's it. Game over. We have lost.
Not the war. Ourselves.
The war and much more will follow, soon, if we can't wake up from our savage numbness."

You think Kerry is a flip-flopper?

Bush has been busy making his own U-ies.

Dubya Authorized the Guantanamo Abuses

If you happen to come across this blog, I could care less if you look at the rest of it, but please read this article put out by The Guardian. Well known journalist, Seymour Hersh, has accused the "President" with authorizing the prisoner abuses that have taken place at Guantanamo (and possibly Abu-Ghraib). Obviously, these would be life and career threatening accusations put forth by someone without evidence, wouldn't you say? They could wreck someone's life either way, I suppose. But he has seen fit to bring it to our attention and I hope Americans have their eyes open (mostly likely not).
This election is the most important of our lifetimes and, to be honest, I've never voted before. I promise you I'll never make that mistake again. The American people have been lied to and have been taken advantage of. We have gone from living in a world of pride to one of shame. Rock The Vote people. It's the only way things can change.

- quote of the day -

"I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death."

- quote of the day -

"You may wish to note that none of the publicly funded piggies that feed at the public trough ever actually get full. Oh no. In fact, the more they eat, the hungrier they get. Know why? It's because of their mutated digestive systems, which continuously convert the taxes they feed on to poop. The poop is then immediately evacuated from their bloated bodies, recycled into paper and spread throughout society by means of various and endless reports, studies, submissions, briefs, bi-laws, policies, recommendations, conferences, inquiries, commissions, legal challenges and press releases."
