- quote of the day -

"It's no accident that we're at each other's throats in a partisan name-calling, childish fight. Stop. It's another diversionary tactic and it's working. Just stop right now. And stop paying any attention to those who promote it, like Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, the FOX News Channel, all hate-mongers who distract us and waste our time and energy. Our enemies are not each other, don't continue to be duped, we don't have that luxury any longer. Corporations, with their greed, will destroy our species with global warming. They've literally gotten away with murder while we "slept". We either wake up now or the horror movies come true and the cockroaches take over at last." Nadja via AfterDowningStreet

- quote of the day -

"A society whose citizens refuse to see and investigate the facts, who refuse to believe that their government and their media will routinely lie to them and fabricate a reality contrary to verifiable facts, is a society that chooses and deserves the Police State Dictatorship it's going to get." -- Ian Williams Goddard via Awoken Research Group

- quote of the day -

“Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience...Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem.” Noam Chomsky via Mike Ferner at Couple's Company

Yay!

So I finally found a job today working as a photographer for Texas Party Pics. Even though it's only a part time gig, at least it'll be bringing a little bit of money in. It sounds like fun (working mostly at frat and sorority parties). I just hope I like it and don't go crazy having to deal with drunk college kids. I'm so over that shit, it's not even funny.

A Nation of Hypocrites

"You believe, as I do, that every human life has value, that the strong have a duty to protect the weak, and that the self-evident truths of the Declaration of Independence apply to everyone, not just to those considered healthy or wanted or convenient," Bush told the abortion foes.

"These principles call us to defend the sick and the dying, persons with disabilities and birth defects, all who are weak and vulnerable, especially unborn children," the president said. CNN.com - even though hundreds of thousands have died because of his decisions

"A Planned Parenthood handbook on abortion notes that nearly half of all abortions are for women who describe themselves as born-again Christian, Evangelical Christian, or Catholic." Women's Services

13 Dolphins Found Beached On Cape Cod

What the hell is going on here? This story really freaked me out. I wonder what causes marine life to beach themselves like this. Is it something that we humans are doing (like sonar signals or pollution) or is it global warming? Maybe even naturally occurring? Too weird. Oh, and the last line is the freakiest part: "Since Dec. 10, 2005, 55 dolphins and 18 pilot whales have been found stranded on Cape Cod." The Boston Channel

So I just started using Google AdSense today. Figured I have to get money coming in somehow. I also applied at Toy Joy and The Buffalo Exchange today. Hopefully something will come up soon. I think I will go around to all the major stores tomorrow to try and find a job.

- quote of the day -

"We feel powerless as our citizens are spied on and imprisoned without due process, as people are kidnapped and tortured in our name, as children half a world away are bombed in their beds through tax dollars taken from our paychecks.

We feel, in short, like outsiders to our own system. Like King. Like Gore. Like Rosa Parks. Like Cindy Sheehan.

I'm coming to think it takes outsiders to change the world. And that we need to pay attention to these outsiders who have a gift for speech." SusanG via Daily Kos

- quote of the day -

"We have the POWER; we only need the knowledge to enable us to make the right choices. The TRUTH is the only thing that can save us now. And we, the bloggers of America, are determined to package and deliver it. You, the readers, must help us reach those who don't have access to the internet.

They killed the messenger; but, his message will NEVER die.

Thank you, MLK. May you rest in peace.

Let's take our country back from those who wish to destroy it and the world along with it.

Let's make America fulfill its promise to US - the people." The Truth Will Set You Free
