I would say unbelievable yet not surprising....
It is shocking: The Bush administration is suppressing a CIA report on 9/11 until after the election, and this one names names. Craigblog
Poor NalaBear!
I feel so bad for Nala! She's been sick for the past week. We finally took her to the vet today to get her checked out. Come to find out they had to do x-rays & take blood, among other things. She was so freaked out the second we got there. She knew what she was in for. I feel so bad. She seems to have the worst bladder infection the vet had ever seen and she happens to have a liver the size of a basketball. It looks as is she might have major kidney problems as well. Not to mention the $350 bill. Good Lord! I should've gone to vet school.

I love Sarah!
I've always loved Sarah MacLachlan but her newest video is amazing. There was a $150,000 budget but they decided to make a $15 video and give the rest to help poverty-stricken people around the world. You have to watch this video! World On Fire

My new hero
The other night I saw a story on PBS about Gloria Flora, a politically active environmentalist. She is the former U.S. Forest Supervisor of the Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana. She has been fighting the Bush Administration's attempt to appease the Oil & Gas Gods who want to drill there. If this was allowed, one of the world's most pristine and untouched ecosystems would be devastated. It was interesting to learn that across the border the Canadian government has allowed drilling in the Rockies and the animal species native to the area are disappearing rapidly. I swear, the more I learn about Dubya and his corporate friends, the more I hate them. I truly believe that if he wins this election (or steals it again) we will see a social revolution like none before. Traditional Mountaineering

This is hilarious!
The Crawford, Texas local newspaper, The Lone Star Iconoclast, officially endorsed John Kerry for President this last week. Campaign Confidential

- Lately -
I have finished my first week at my new job. So far it's been cool. The people I work with seem like cool folks. From what I've seen so far, it looks as if this is going to be a hard job. Always lots to do, especially writing and analyzing data. But interesting stuff, none the less.
John and I watched the Presidential debates last night. Overall, I thought Kerry did a much better job getting his point across to the audience than Dubya did. Kerry kept his composure no matter what was thrown at him and Dubya seemed to fumble quite a bit. He kept repeating the same thing over and over again until I wanted to turn the TV off. I can't believe this guy graduated from Yale. Anyway, I hope the American people have a better idea of what Kerry is made of now and will make their choice accordingly.
I heard that Mt. St. Helens erupted today. Nothing catastrophic but big enough to be noticed. We had an earthquake here this week, a 6.0, but of course I didn't feel it. We've had two noticeable earthquakes in Cali since we've lived here and I've felt neither of them.
